Controls the steepness of the curve.
Higher |w| → sharper transition.

Controls the horizontal shift.
Higher b → curve shifts left.

What changes?

  • w ↑ → steeper curve
  • w ↓ → flatter curve
  • w < 0 → curve flips
  • b ↑ → shifts left
  • b ↓ → shifts right
